THE SITE - The conference will be held at the Banff Conference Centre which is within walking distance of the townsite, hiking trails, and other attractions. If possible, additional sightseeing excursions will be arranged for August 9 to accommodate participants who wish to enjoy an extra day in Canada's spectacular Rocky Mountains. Banff is easily accessible from Calgary by car or bus.
CALL FOR PAPERS
Submissions are invited on all aspects of personal and social relationships including family relationships, romantic relationships, sexuality, friendship, relationship formation, maintenance, and disengagement, communication patterns, cognitive, affective, and behavioural processes in relationships, individual development and relationships, research design and measurement issues, and data analysis issues, social and cultural patterns, structural and historical influences, health and relationships, work and relationships.
Formats:
- Poster Presentations
- Symposium (four related papers and a discussant)
- Paper Presentations
- Interest Groups/Workshops
- Other Special Sessions as generated by creative participants
NOTE: Poster presentations will be highlighted at this conference.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
For posters and papers, submit a 500 word abstract (to be sent out for review) AND a shortened 100 word abstract to be published in the Program if the submission is accepted. (Please specify whether you are submitting a poster or a paper; every attempt will be made to accommodate your preference.)
For symposia, organizers should submit a 1500 word abstract containing a brief description of the overall theme and a short synopsis of each individual presentation (excluding the discussant) AND a shortened 300 word abstract.
For workshops and other sessions, follow the guidelines for paper/poster presentations OR for symposia depending on the nature of your session.
Interest group chairs should request a slot in the program for informal discussion among interest group members.
ALL submissions should include:
- the title of the submission (in upper case letters),
- full name(s) of the participant(s),
- institutional affiliation,
- mailing address,
- e-mail address,
- FAX number
